What’s this job like?

The Customer Love Team puts a human face on all of our customer-facing services. You will primarily be on the phone, managing email, and responding to customer reviews. We will give you the training and tools to perform in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. You will be completely empowered to wow our customers.

You will handle a wide range of issues, from helping customers apply their Groupon Voucher to being a point-of-contact to resolve the occasional mistake. You will get to know our product line and become an expert at canvas prints and customer service. It feels good to help people! You won't just be providing customer service in a call center, you will be helping people bring art, inspiration, and happy memories into their lives.

When one of our customers says, “Whoa, your service was so good I felt like I was talking to someone at Zappos!” you’ll have earned one of the highest possible compliments.

The position pay starts at $12.50, depending on experience. We also offer insurance benefits, incentive compensation, and a 401k.

Who is Simple Canvas Prints, anyway?

Our core teams have been in the printing and design industry since 1972, and Simple Canvas Prints is a natural extension of our expertise. It’s not uncommon for people to work with us for decades. We’re loyal and we take care of our people.

Skills and education you’ll need.

Some basics:

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and proofreading skills.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years with one previous employer.
  • You need a high school diploma.
  • You know how to sit back and keep your cool if a customer loses theirs.
  • Desire to solve problems and help!
  • Ability to work as a team.

Technical skills:

  • You are familiar with Groupon, Paypal, and online shopping.
  • You can answer incoming customer calls and resolve issues.
  • You can make outbound calls to follow up with customers as needed.
  • Respond to customer questions by selecting the appropriate saved reply and make edits as necessary to address customer concerns. Our goal is one email resolution, or as few emails as possible!
  • You are able to effectively communicate to other departments internally about issues/errors that occur.
  • You have to have above-average computer skills, including the use of your typical office apps (email, MS Word, Excel, web browsers), and the ability to type at least 40 wpm (words per minute).
  • You are able to stay organized and work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Very important: When you don’t know how to do something, your instinct should be to Google it and see what you can learn for yourself.
  • When you don’t know the answer, you are able to say “I don’t know, let me find out!”

Stuff that could give you an edge:

  • You have prior call center experience, especially for an online company.
  • You have business or hospitality experience.
  • You’re bilingual (especially Spanish).
  • You have familiarity with the basic functions of design programs like Adobe Photoshop.
  • You have experience in commercial art.
  • We use Mac OS X-based systems, so understanding how to move quickly and efficiently on an Apple computer is a big plus.
  • You like to make suggestions on how to improve.
